Raks Sharki, Danse Du Ventre, Orientale Danse, Beledi, Middle Eastern Dance, are other names for the beautiful art you may know as "Belly Dance".

Today's dance is a direct decendent of an ancient dance, It reflects the respect people once had for the body as the Temple of the Soul.

The dance is a fun way to exercise every part of your body. It relieves stress, and promotes grace, flexibility, and strength, by utilizing movements that are natural to the body.

Belly dance is for every shape, size, and age, teenagers to grandmothers! Many people study this dance for the benefits alone, while others decide to perform. It is not necessary to be young, or thin, to reap these benefits, or to perform the dance beautifully.

The classes consist of Stretching and Strengthening, Music and Rhythms, Dance Movements, Staging, Costuming, and Choreography. It is a fun and unique way to share joyous possibilities! My goal is to bring out the best in each individual student and promote this dance of Antiquity as a beautiful art form.
